Community Global Outreach

Welcome!

At Rolling Hills we believe in having a healthy balance of "INreach" and "OUTreach."  Our "OUTreach" efforts move beyond our walls, meeting people where they are...looking for ways to demonstrate the love of Christ in meaningful ways. You know the old adage, "People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care!" As a church, we believe it is both a privilege and a responsibility to invest in the lives of people in ways that express the love of Jesus.

Discipleship + Missional Service = Growth

Building relationships in Nicaragua
We are deeply committed to discipleship.  The call of Jesus is very clear - "Go and make disciples of all nations...".  He also challenged His disciples to leave their comfort zone and to step out in faith to sacrificially serve others.  He did so in the context of discipleship relationships.

Rolling Hills Community Global Outreach wants to send those engaged in intentional discipleship relationships on missional experiences where, together, they will be challenged to grow closer to Jesus as they spend time sacrificially serving and ministering to others.  We then seek to provide "on-ramps" for discipleship pairs to engage in missional service within our local community.

Finally, we provide opportunities to serve on the Community & Global Outreach team where we incorporate discipleship, mentoring and leadership  development.

You will find valuable information on all these areas in this website.  We encourage you to consider the call of Jesus to discipleship and service as you explore the Community Global Outreach ministry of RHCC.

Guiding Principles:

The five principles below reflect our beliefs about the role and impact of service. These principles guide what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. While many of them are fundamental, we remain open to amending them as we grow and learn more about our service.

Relational

Meeting our mission-to effectively share Jesus- requires establishing relationships with those who do not know Him (Mark 12:28-31).

Focused

While we encourage individuals to go where God is leading them, resources are limited. Therefore, our focus is clear and will prioritize issues of poverty (Matthew 25:34-40; Galatians 2:10; James 2:1-13).

Partner Oriented

Partnerships with other churches, community organizations-both faith and non-faith based, creates common ground of concern and care and provides opportunity to work with unlikely partners to achieve something greater than we ourselves could do (Romans 15:25-27; 2 Corinthians 8:13-15).

Transformational

Our ultimate goal is the transformation and discipleship of believers and non-believers into individuals who learn to think, love and live like Jesus and then invest in reproducing that in the lives of others.  Therefore, we focus our efforts on those who are intentional about discipleship.  (Romans 1:16).

Sustainable

We seek sustainable environments and a holistic approach where the physical, emotional and spiritually are integrally linked (Luke 4:14-21).
